fashion journalism is the dream

 Hello Angels!

I have been thinking about my future a decent amount with the end of school coming around and as time isn't stopping for me to think, I have been thinking about my future and university choices. I have always wanted to be around books in my job ever since I was a kid. I actually wanted to be a librarian but now sadly they don't seem to be needed in this horrific day and age.

This year specifically obsessed with the idea of being a journalist, mainly in some sort of art, such as media or some other thing, but extremely recently I have been so infatuated with fashion. It really incorporates so many things
into one and is such a beautiful art. So that led to me borrowing all the books from the limited library section on fashion and binge reading them during my exams week. Yay! Also led me to wish I had started collecting magazines while I was in the womb.

Anyway now I have the deepest desire to be writing for a Vogue magazine or any kind of magazine for what it’s worth - picture Andy Sachs or Andie Anderson (maybe even Carrie Bradshaw though I haven’t watched Sex and the City yet, so let me know if i should start) 

I haven’t really felt this passionate about any profession up until now but I just wish I was passionate about finance, or anything, something that pays for pity’s sake. I love art but it pays horribly. 

And adding to that living in Australia isolated from all the fashion cities in the world feels just like a punch to the face but here I go, into a career I’m already scared for.

(At least it is some what more stable than being a fashion designer and that scary prospect has crossed my mind more times than I dare to count)
