Hey Angels!
Now that summer (or winter) is over for us, I wanted to go over what I would call the most popular trend of the summer that might just die out as the autumn/fall colours take over. And that is the fun colours and colour blocking that took everyone by storm.
With all the negativity around AI and the world at the moment, the fun of the bright colours brought us all a sense of childness and joyfulness into what we are wearing. I know that I will be bringing this revival of colour into what is my spring with me as in Australia we just had winter so I am yet to fully embrace the colour.
Without further ado these are the top colours...
TEAL
Teal is just the colour at the moment but it will always be to me the colour I so desperately wanted to paint my walls as a tween, and here I am now obsessed with it again. I need to buy more clothes in this colour, like a leather slouchy bag or those yoga ants from brandy. This emulates such a nostalgic 2000s vibe that makes me yearn for spring and summer. I am not ashamed to admit that you will be seeing me in this colour.
CORAL
Coral is also is the same vane as teal. It is a fun colourful shade that just emulates that 2000s bright, out there colour that just makes me think of summer. Now again this I would wear in a yoga pant of a flowy baby doll top. I just think orange is such a hated colour so I'm so glad it got its well deserved time to shine. I firmly believe every colour has a shade that is pretty. you can not tell me that there is an ugly colour (though I do have a bit of an aversion to purple, but just on me).
HOT PINK

This one just screams I'm Barbie living in Malibu with my friends living that dream life, and now you may think that you would connect that with 2023 era where everyone was obsessed with the Barbie movie, but in a statement piece it really adds that 2000s vibe. In a show or a top it can really add some fun to an otherwise boring outfit. Hot pink was never not iconic but maybe that's just me as my favourite colour is definitely pink. I'm also loving hot pink leopard print.
BUTTER YELLOW
This colour calms me, and really works with any of the previous colours I have mentioned, its quite close to a neutral but just isn't too boring or basic. It really reminds me of ice cream, just the delicious gelato on a summers day. This colour can really be in any item of clothing, but I think it looks best in cotton fabric, like a shirt or linen pants, its just the perfect colour for that kind of thing.
BABY PINK
I mean what do I say about this, its just so darling, it can never go wrong. I believe that a pastel is never going to look weird or out of place (only if you are in this same vibe, obviously if you are a goth it might be harder to incorporate but never say never) and this is just so timeless and forever a summer colour same as yellow. I would personally wear this colour in any piece of clothing because I adore it but if you aren't as much of a fan I'd wear it in fun tank tops or cute ballet flats.
That's all from me. I hope you have the best time styling and wearing these colours because I'm sure you will all look absolutely gorgeous. Go out and wear colour angel! Be fun and free!
xoxo
Anouk
