fashion journalism is the dream

 Hello Angels!

I have been thinking about my future a decent amount with the end of school coming around and as time isn't stopping for me to think, I have been thinking about my future and university choices. I have always wanted to be around books in my job ever since I was a kid. I actually wanted to be a librarian but now sadly they don't seem to be needed in this horrific day and age.

This year specifically obsessed with the idea of being a journalist, mainly in some sort of art, such as media or some other thing, but extremely recently I have been so infatuated with fashion. It really incorporates so many things
into one and is such a beautiful art. So that led to me borrowing all the books from the limited library section on fashion and binge reading them during my exams week. Yay! Also led me to wish I had started collecting magazines while I was in the womb.

Anyway now I have the deepest desire to be writing for a Vogue magazine or any kind of magazine for what it’s worth - picture Andy Sachs or Andie Anderson (maybe even Carrie Bradshaw though I haven’t watched Sex and the City yet, so let me know if i should start) 

hottest colours of summer 2026

Hey Angels!

Now that summer (or winter) is over for us, I wanted to go over what I would call the most popular trend of the summer that might just die out as the autumn/fall colours take over. And that is the fun colours and colour blocking that took everyone by storm. 

With all the negativity around AI and the world at the moment, the fun of the bright colours brought us all a sense of childness and joyfulness into what we are wearing. I know that I will be bringing this revival of colour into what is my spring with me as in Australia we just had winter so I am yet to fully embrace the colour.

Without further ado these are the top colours...

TEAL

Teal is just the colour at the moment but it will always be to me the colour I so desperately wanted to paint my walls as a tween, and here I am now obsessed with it again. I need to buy more clothes in this colour, like a leather slouchy bag or those yoga ants from brandy. This emulates such a nostalgic 2000s vibe that makes me yearn for spring and summer. I am not ashamed to admit that you will be seeing me in this colour.

roman holiday

 Hey Angels!!

I just watched roman holiday and Audrey Hepburn is absolutely stunning with her short hair. It was my first Audrey Hepburn movie and it was so good, I really recommend it was fun, happy (until the end). Anyway her hair in the movie starts as long but she rebels against the royalty as she is a princess and cuts her hair into mini bangs and a pixie cut, and omg nothing has ever made me want to cut off all my hair so badly. 

When I was a child my dad would try and bribe me with money to cut my hair off because it would take too much time in the morning to get ready. But no I consistently denied, in love with my long hair. But now I'm getting the itch to cut off all my hair into a French bob. Currently I have a fringe but with short hair!! That could cure me.

modern clothing

 Hey Angels!

I want to talk about modern clothing now, its so uninspiring and boring. Clothes used to be full of colour and joy, even 10 years ago. I walk into any store in the shopping centre, the piece of clothing is either in lots of colour but a basic shape, or a fun cut but in the default 3 colours of black, pink and grey. 

Also whenever I walk down the street I don't want to see every other girl wearing the same top as me. That sounds like I want to be different but I just want unique clothes that I won't ever see anyone else wear. Colour is so important to me too. If I wear something colourful I'm way more likely to feel confident and bubbly, and cute! Send me back pleaseee.
